Drown me

Drown me with my own tears

In oceanic swirl of false hope

Watch as the blue pulls me in closer as I suffocate and tremble

Please don’t save me, it’s too late

The walls are closing in, crushing me in between

Can’t move, can’t breathe

I feel it coming

Imprisoned, encased, no escape.

The last waves of safety are leaving

I feel my rib cage crack open

A faint voice pleading me not to let go

To hold her hand

If only she knew the past

How miserably I screamed trying to fight the waves

How every single time a part of my voice washed away unheard

Let me drown in this ocean of thoughts

For maybe I’ll finally feel

Maybe I’ll finally be free.
