I wish, when I gaze into those alluring eyes,
They could gaze back at mine
I wish, when I touch those fingers,
They could with mine, get intertwined
I wish, from far, cradled by the sugar wind,
You could sense my fragrance, like old times
I wish we could once more, escape the world,
Run beyond time and and commit forbidden crimes
I wish I could feel once more that sunlight ring
In love and passion, heavy as lead
I wish, on the moonless night which I could not see,
You could have seen me, by the flame, veiled in red
I wish I had, all my life, beholden your sacred view,
But that once,
If only I hadn't, with the car steering in my hand,
Turned to look at you….
