Not a fairytale

Tale as old as time

True as it can be…

There dwelt a beautiful maiden in the middle of the woods. Adored by all, envied by many. Mirrors bespoke her name. But oh! She was rather odd, with her head buried in a book. Trapped and lured by an evil enchantress, our damsel was in distress. And then came Prince Charming, swept her off her feet. Saved her from her torment, and she went on to live happily ever after.

Or did she?

Fast forward a millennia.

There lives a woman, perfect in any way she can be, but imperfect in the eyes of the unrealistic beauty standards. Before mirrors, she saw someone who had once been a hopeful young girl, now reduced to an insecure woman battling her demons. “QUEER!” That’s what she is in the eyes of the society. A snob who had the audacity to do as she pleased. Preferred a career over a family of 20 kids and a husband. Trapped by the thoughts in her own head. Venom being spit out on her. She never wanted a Prince Charming, well she fancied a Princess by her side. Lurking in darkness, crippling under the pain.

Are all her dreams in vain?

Just because historically, nothing went her way.
