Hello my future self! Today, as far as I know, I’m bisexual and a demigirl with the pronouns she/they. I don’t know what the future holds, I don’t know if I will discover something more about myself, I don’t know who I’m going to end up with. But just so you remember, since you tend to forget a lot- no one’s opinion about your sexuality matters, no one other than you has the hold over what you are, no one can get in your head other than you. You don’t know what your destiny holds, you never know how things change. Anything and everything can change, other than the fact that you love yourself; just accept this for yourself that you are the best thing ever. I don’t know how far away this future is. Maybe this future ends in some seconds, maybe it continues for years, but this future and forever will only stand till the moments and seconds you breathe.
Maybe these friends won’t be there in the future, but just remember this- your old self is very proud of you. I’m very proud that you are where you are, you made it in the best way, and I hope you visited at least one pride parade. Today your family might not support you, today you might be having mental breakdowns, today your friends might suddenly be homophobes trying to put you down, but it will get better; it will always get better.
Not just to me, but to every LGBTQ+ member out there, I love every one of you, and I’m proud of every one of you. If your family doesn’t support you, if your friends don’t love you, then don’t worry, from the day you read this, I’m your family, your friend and your supporter, and I love you.
